3.9 Nitrous Oxide (N₂O)
Nitrous Oxide is used in calibration gas mixtures for petrochemical industry, environmental emission monitoring, industrial hygiene monitors and trace impurity analyzers. Nitrous Oxide also servers as gas propellant for aerosol packaging. Medical Nitrous Oxide is used in adults and children for general anesthesia and pain relief.
