5.5 Equipment, Engineering and Installations
Air Liquide is able to provide the necessary equipment, engineering and installation for a safer and more reliable use of the gases and its properties. Equipment such as high-precision, clean and leak-free regulators are available with various pressure ranges and are intended for specific applications.
Primary Pressure Control Regulator
Single Stage
- Reduce the cylinder pressure to the delivery or outlet pressure in one step.
- Performs well for short duration gas usage.
- Recommended when precise control of the delivery pressure is not required.
- Delivery pressure variations will occur with decreasing cylinder pressure.
- Reduce the cylinder pressure to a working level in 2 steps.
- Provides better performance for long duration gas usage.
- The cylinder pressure is reduced to a preset intermediate level in the first stage, then fed to the inlet of the second stage.
- Maintains constant outlet pressure as the gas level in the cylinder decreases.
Dual Stage
Stainless Steel Body regulators are intended for primary pressure control of corrosive gases (eg SO2, H2S, etc.) and high-purity applications in which minor fluctuations in outlet pressure can be tolerated, or in which constant pressure control is required.
Brass Body regulators are intended for primary pressure control of inert and flammable gases (eg O2, N2, Ar) in applications in which minor fluctuations in outlet pressure can be tolerated, or in which constant pressure control is required.
Secondary Pressure Control Regulator
Line Regulator
The line regulator is intended for secondary pressure control of various types of gases, high purity of liquified gas, or as pressure control in high purity gas distribution systems. Available in stainless steel and brass materials.

Switchover panels are automated switchover systems designed to supply a continuous supply of high-purity non-corrosive gas.
The system comes wiith flexible hoses for use with two cylinders or manifold connectors for use with modular manifold systems.

Flexible Hose
Metal Flexible Hoses provide a fully-welded, zero-permeation and flexible alternative to pipe and tubing in laser-purity gas applications, even at cryogenic temperatures.
The non-porous and chemically inert property of stainless steel coupled with zero maintenance requirements make these high-pressure flexible hoses ideal for high pressure applications.
