An American citizen, Pierre R.Berber holds a bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engeering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in business administration from Cornell University. Pierre R. Breber started his career with Chevron, one of the world's leading energy companies, and one of the largest corporate groups in the wolrd, in 1989. During his more than 30 years of service within the group, he has served in a number of leadership positions with increasing responsibilities including in particular Managing Director, Asia South Business Unit; Chevron Vice President and Treasurer; manager, Finance and Business Services, Chevron Upstream Europe Business Unit; Executive Vice President, Chevron Downstream; and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chevron, responsible for control, tax, treasury, audit and investor relations activites worldwide, since 2019.
